This week’s meeting was a themed night chosen by “French Ian” – wines of France, excluding wines from the Côtes du Rhône region. With 8 members and 9 French wines complimented by an outstanding cheeseboard, specially selected for the evening by Wayne we enjoyed yet another fantastic evening, all rounded off with a glass of Port courtesy of Craig.
The most popular wine of the evening was a Sainsbury’s Taste The Difference, Marselan from the Languedoc region, scoring a very respectable 13.25, brought by “Portuguese Alan”. The remaining wines were from the Val De Loire, Languedoc, Protege and Haut-Medoc regions of France.
