After a summer break through the whole of July the society returned to Ponthir Village Hall to sample a selection of excellent wines from Israel (courtesy of Lewis), Spain, Australia and Moldova.
All the wines were rated highly by the 7 members in attendance. The most popular wine of the evening was a Salice Salantino from the Puglia region of Italy scoring 15.71 overall brought by our Chairman Jim. This was closely followed by “The Reprobates”, an Australian Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon blend courtesy of our Treasurer Alan scoring 15.29.
