Paul – Highs and Lows

Paul – Highs and Lows

This evening we enjoyed wines from Spain, Portugal, Chile, Australia, New Zealand and Armenia, including two excellent white wines. One of those white wines a 19 Crimes Chardonnay, courtesy of Paul, and was the most popular wine of the evening scoring an outstanding 16 overall. It is the highest scoring white wine sampled at the society since records began. Paul now has the distinction of bringing both the highest scoring white wine and the lowest scoring wine sampled at the society. The other of the two white wines scored a very respectable 15.83, brought by Talbot – a Waitonga Falls Sauvignon Blanc.

Special thanks to Lewis for the Armenian Malbec, a first for the society and following the aims of the society to sample wines from around the world.
