All set for our first in person meeting in months!!
With the easing of restrictions we are now able to meet up again but are still careful to ensure our ongoing safety. We have our seating socially distanced and the room deep cleaned and well ventilated.
This evening saw the members select their own wine(s) and the Chairman set us a building and DIY quiz.
We are all hoping that this will be our last virtual meeting and that in a few weeks time we will be able to meet in person.

This evening saw a full house of members attending with Neale choosing the wine for us and providing a very challenging quiz. Neale’s wine scored much, much better than the members did with his quiz.

This evenings meeting saw the “Fab Four” meet up for an Easter vino.
The Italian wine chosen by Talbot was a Pillastro Primitivo which was accompanied by a Wales themed quiz.
The Primitivo went down well with the society members and it scored much better than their quiz scores.

This evening’s wine was chosen by Kevin, an Australian wine, a McGuigan, Black Label Merlot. The quiz was again provided by our Secretary Jim. It was multiple choice and one of our members managed to score a perfect 10 out of 10 – well done Neale!

Tonights meeting saw our secretary, Jim, chose a very nice Shiraz from South Africa which scored a very well deserved 15. All of the society were in virtual attendance and were delighted and grateful to the secretary for his excellent choice.

Another fantastic virtual meeting with the both the wine and quiz provided by our society’s President, Dave Llewellyn.
The wine was “Lisboa – Behind Closed Doors”. Dave selected the 2018 vintage, which according to Vivino is the best vintage to date. It was absolutely delicious and received glowing compliments from the society members together with an outstanding rating of 16.

Dave also provided a quiz which was all about music. He provided the reverse answer and we had to work out the correct answer from the reverse of it. Sounds complicated but it was great fun!

Although we were only 4 members for the latest virtual society meeting, we had a great evening with very good wines. The tasting and talking went on well into the night. This week was a “free choice”, each member selecting a wine and providing a talk and notes on their wine.

Another fantastic virtual meeting.
This weeks wine was chosen by our Treasurer, Wayne, who chose a very fine Portuguese wine, a 2017 Torre De Ferro, Reserva which was scored a 15 overall. The quiz saw Kevin win this weeks instalment and take the overall lead.
Next Friday’s meeting will be a free choice. Each member will select a wine and give a talk on the wine chosen. There will not be a quiz next Friday but the quiz series will resume the following week.
